Description:

The Canadian Feed Research Centre (CFRC) is a research feedmill owned by the University of Saskatchewan, located in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The CFRC researches, develops and commercializes new and improved high-value animal feeds from low-value crops and co-products from bioprocessing and biofuels industries. This world-class facility, funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation, offers a broad range of research capabilities, and scales from lab to pilot plant to industrial-scale. They also serve as an information resource to feed commodity groups, the livestock industry and others associated with the feed industry as required. Additionally, they provide professional research and development services through contract research to assist organizations in capturing opportunities within an increasingly sophisticated and demanding animal feedstuffs world market.

The Canadian Food Exporters Association (CFEA) is a not-for-profit trade association founded in September 1996 by a group of fourteen companies who felt the need for a resource focused on the enhancement of export efforts in the food and beverage industry, particularly, but not exclusively, on the part of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME's). The mission of the organization is to increase the profitable export sales of food and beverage products, increase the number of small to medium-sized food and beverage processors and manufacturers exporting, and raise the international profile of Canadian food and beverage products. Canadian Prairie Bison is proud to provide customers with a delectable substitute for beef and a natural choice for a healthy diet. Their focus is providing bison meat to restaurants, processors and wholesalers. Their product meets the needs of consumers interested in a high end, high quality product that is lower in fat and higher in iron and Vitamin B-12 than comparable meats. In spite of its lean quality, the meat is tender and very tasty. Ranch raised bison maintain the hardiness of their ancestors, but the flavor of the meat has always been mild and meaty, not gamey.
