X-Steam-inator Agriculture Products (XAP) located at Chaplin, Saskatchewan has developed the X-Steam-inator, a sprayer that uses high temperature steam for non-selective weed control. The company's patented process generates high temperature steam in an energy efficient manner with the ability to precisely control steam temperature, pressure and saturation. XAP has a memorandum of understanding with Honey Bee Manufacturing to build the units. Pre-seed weed control and weed control between crop rows are the first applications being targeted. The technology will have applications for agriculture worldwide.

The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve the business community of Yorkton. Yorkton is a growing, dynamic city! Yorkton's 2022 population, as listed in the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health's statistics was 19,123. Main industries in the area include agriculture, potash mining, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, tourism and health services. Yorkton is the largest city on the Yellowhead Highway (Hwy 16) between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The trading area around Yorkton encompasses east central Saskatchewan and western Manitoba with a population of 150,000 making it the third largest trading area in the province. While the Chamber is one of the oldest entities in the City, having been established in 1898, it's a dynamic organization which represents the interests of the business community. A 16 member elected Board of Directors strive to share ideas, raise issues and advance the interests of the membership.
