Products also include tow between or tow behind air carts with capacities of 500 bushels to 980 bushels. Seed Hawk’s patented hydraulically operated, low disturbance independent opener emerged in 1992 and through a series of innovations has become the back bone of the success of the company, along with other innovations like pioneering Sectional Control Technology® and iCon® Wireless Control. Since 2003, Seed Hawk has grown from 15 employees to over 150. In 2004, a domestic dealer network was established and the company continues to grow. In 2006, Seed Hawk sold a minority share in the company to a Swedish agricultural company - Väderstad AB, the largest planting, seeding and tillage manufacturer in Europe. In 2013, Väderstad bought full ownership of Seed Hawk, and in October 2017, the Saskatchewan-based company changed its name to Vaderstad Industries Inc. to align with the global Väderstad Group.
